In the process of building my business, I took on the task of building my own website, rather than hiring a web services company. After some research I decided to use WordPress and set up my very first and early version in 2011 with WordPress.org and Godaddy. The original site used a simple theme and I learned some of the basics. I didn’t want to code or get into long sessions of learning html, so using many of the free plug-ins and simple options was the best for me. I had the basic site up and running within a few days. I was not a consistent user, and when I had to step away for my family in 2012, it became a sad neglected blog. I continued to dabble for the next 3 years, and made necessary updates, but never made extensive changes to the original site.
Summer of 2015 brought on many new opportunities, and after reading extensively about entrepreneurship, a new project came my way. At the same time, I went back to evolutionaryeats.com, and started making some major updates and changes. I took on consulting and a web build for The Lago Vista Farmers Market, and Evolutionary Eats again took a back seat. However, the work in progress made with Evolutionary Eats mirrored a solid framework for the farmers market. The farmers market was an extensive build, with forms, multiple administrators, and several links to outside sites.
Now in addition to awesome food, I am offering up web building services using WordPress. I am far from and expert, but know how to find answers. One-on-one training sessions are also available. Look at my websites, and if you like them, and would like a quote contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
